Karson is 11 days old in this picture. He weighed 2lbs. He had lost 9 oz. from the day he was born. I remember almost being afraid to hold him because he was so small. This was my first skin on skin experience with him. They have you do this to help with the bonding. He could hear my heartbeat and would lay there and sleep. He was such a fighter and never had any major complications. He was able to come home from the hospital 45 days after this picture! I love my little Karson!

SUMMER FUN

The sky was so BEAUTIFUL this day! I had to pull out the camera.
The kids and I had so much fun on the trampoline just GOOFING OFF.
Karson likes to run and tackle me like a Football Player...HE'S GETTING REALLY STRONG.
Brookie enjoys singing ring around the rosies and running around the trampoline really fast and then I tackle her when they all fall down.
Both kids love jumping as high as they possibly can.
Its been such a great summer for me. I have enjoyed not having to work so much and it has been such a treat.
I LOVE the extra time I get to spend with the kids!
I LOVE them so much and we have such a great time everytime we get to be together.
I'm a LUCKY Mom...I have the BEST KIDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

Karson is now 5 years old! I can't believe that he will be going to kindergarten this year. He is getting so big and he's so smart. He can read, write his name and knows all his letters, number, shapes and colors. He loves playing T-Ball and loves playing with Legos, Transformers, and Ben 10 Aliens. He really loves spending lots of time playing with mom, or his friends. He definately knows how to test my patience. He is very creative and has a great imagination. He loves to ROCK out and dance! Karson has such a tender heart and really does love his sister. I love you Karson....please don't grow up too fast and remember that I am always here for you!

Brookie decided to go swimming in her regular diaper....it was hilarious!!! This diaper weighed about 15 pounds. It was so absorbant that it took on so much water and held it there. It was soooo funny watching her try to walk with the huge thing between her legs....I could not stop laughing!

We had a very fun Christmas. The kids didn't get up until 8:00 and then we spent a couple of hours watching them open their presents from Santa and play with each one. Brooklyn just wanted the candy canes. She would not put them down. When we asked her if she wanted to open a present....she would say "NO". Karson wanted to open all the presents, even if they weren't for him...he is such a good helper! He was excited about everything he got, but said that Santa forgot to bring him the Ben-10 Alien creation chamber that he had wanted. We all took a nap together later in the day....that was my Christmas Gift!!!

The Master at work!

Karson felt pretty special for being able to sit at the big kid table!! I remember those days and always feeling sad when I had to sit at the little card board table with the little kids :(

We had Thanksgiving over at my brother Dave's house. It was AMAZING!! He and Nancy are the best cooks and there was no shortage of food or dessert. I am so thankful for family and friends and for those that have helped our family get through the tough times. Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!

We took Brooklyn and Karson up to Cascade Springs, in American Fork Canyon, just as the leaves were starting to change color. What a beautiful canyon.

Brooklyn loved stepping on the leaves and hearing them crunch.

Karson had fun climbing on everything and showing his puppies "Web" and "ChiChi" everything too.

Cascade Springs has tons of paths to walk on that take you through the springs. Its so beautiful up there.
It's funny because Karson always wanted me to carry him but Brooklyn would throw a fit if I wouldn't let her walk. You think it would be the other way around.

Karson getting a ride on his dads shoulders and "Web" getting a shoulder ride from Karson. Karson will ask every Sunday if we are going up the canyon after church! Brooklyn exploring through the trees. This little girl has no fear. She wanted to get into the water all day long. She had sooo much fun exploring! Both kids love the canyon and it's a great way to wear them out!

Here are some pictures I took while driving thru the American Fork Canyon. This was just as the leaves were starting to change. It's amazing how fast everything changes. I am trying to learn photography and these are some of my amateur photos. I don't really know what I am doing, I just know that I love nature and can't help but take pictures of things I find beautiful.

Brooklyn sat there for about 40 minutes just tearing up the paper...it was so fun to watch

Karson rolled out the "white" carpet for us to go downstairs to the toy room.

I needed to get some cleaning done around the house and the kids were wanting me to play with them...so I gave them each a roll of toilet paper to play with while I finished up the house work. They had so much fun! I think this is the cheapest play date we've had in a long time.

Hey everyone! I am so exicted about this new phone!!!! I want everyone in the world to get one, escpecially everyone I care about staying in touch with. I know these blogs are GREAT, but these phones can change the way we all communicate. This phone allows you to see the person you are talking to as long as they have the same phone. I've ordered mine and I want everyone to take a look at this. Wouldn't you like your kids to be able to see Grandma, Grandpa, AUnts and Uncles, Cousins, friends etc...when they talk to them on the phone!! I think this would be a great Christmas Gift for all family memebers!!!! The great thing is you can keep your current phone number and the phone itself is free. If anybody is interested let me know. Brooklyn is now ONE!!!!! I can't believe she is already one. Time has flown by and I am so proud of my little girl. She has brought such joy and happiness into our home. Karson has proven to be a great older brother and helper to Brookie. I want Brooklyn to know that I love her so much and appreciate the smiles and laughter that she has brought into my life. I have so much love and adoration for her! Her smile brightens my day, I'm addicted to it!

Her milestones are: Walking, climbing the stairs by herself, making great big messes while eating. She can say....dog....that....dada....moma.....ball....and something that means Karson, but doesn't sound like it at all!

Her hobbies: She LOVES to dance and sing, she points to the radio when it's turned off and shakes her head and that means to turn it on. She also loves sliding down any slide she can find or anything that may look like a slide. She loves being outside and playing with Karson and his friend Marshall and the neighbor boy Patrick who is 2.

Her favorite foods: Brookie LOVES fruit...watermelon, peaches, cantalope, pears, and bananas. She also loves any kind of noodle....Mac-n-cheese (of course), spaghetti, alfredo, and ramon noodles. She really enjoys banana bread and zucchni bread too. Of course can't forget fruit snacks, crackers amd juice boxes.

YUMMY!!!!! Brookie Loves corn-on-the-cob. We went to Washington for the 4th of July. We stayed with my sister Rachelle. We had sooo much fun. The kids loved it there and want to get on the airplane again and go back. This is Brooklyns first time eating corn-on-the-cob. She thought is was pretty good. There is always good food at Rachies house. Thanks Rachelle for letting us stay with you....we will come again soon!

JUST CHILLIN!

Brooklyn LOVES being outdoors. When we are inside she will grab my fingers to help her walk and she will lead upstairs or down the hall or anyway she can to get to a window or door so that I will take her outside. She sat here for about 45 minutes, just chillin. She was enjoying the warm day we finally had to it's fullest. She loves playing in the bark, rocks and dirt....just like her brother.

T-BALL

Karson's first T-Ball Game! The helmet was huge.
Karson is left handed when he is batting but throws right handed. He hit the ball really well! He didn't enjoy playing in the outfield as much. He sat down on the pitcher's mound and lookd at bugs and played in the dirt. After his first game I was trying to explain to him that when he is in the outfield that he is supposed to try and get the abll after someone hits it, and throw it to a base. So the second game, he would get up to bat, hit the ball, and then try and get the ball before anyone else....it was so funny. You can definately tell he hasn't played the game before, it's just fun to see him interact with the other kids and learn from them.
He had to hold onto the helmet while he was running because if he didn't he couldn't see where he was going.
He looks to little out there....I can't believe he is old enough to do sports now! It is soooo exciting!

Third Base!
Karson with some of his team. He is so out going, he asked each and everyone of them "what's your name" The amazing thing about Karson is that he remembers all of their names and even his coaches name. When we were driving home he asked me what their names were and I failed miserably, but he remembered every one! I need to practice my memory skills just to keep up with him, he gets frustrated when I can't name them all.

Brooklyn loves watching all the other cousins. I love her SMILE!

Karson with the Haskell cousins! (Jake, Emily, KC, Kaleb and Karson) We always get together at Grandma and Grandpa Haskell's on Christmas eve, eat lots of YUMMY food and open gifts from our buddies and from Grandma and Grandpa. Everyone has a great time and then we get the kids home and in bed so Santa can come.

Karson got a shaving kit for Christmas too! Daddy is showing him how to do it. I think he will be shaving about ten times a day for a while!

Karson got a huge Transformer!! He was so excited. It only took Daddy two hours to figure out how to transform it.

Thanksgiving at the Haskells

Thanksgiving was a success.....once the turkey was ready! It took a little longer than expected. We had Dave's mashed Potatoes, Brian's seven layer salad, Nancy's pies, Kristin's turkey, Maeser's and Nancy's rolls, and Joey's sparkling cider! We watched football, fit a puzzle and played. Brooklyn wore her first dress so I had to take lots of pictures cause she looked so darn cute! Karson made a pilgrim hat in preschool and had to wear it for the feast. We had a great time and hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Holiday!

Brooklyn's first Halloween!

Brooklyn's first Halloween! Karson says that she is our little carrot. Karson was an Operation Overdrive Power Ranger. He was so excited when he was able to wear his costume to school. He said his friends were going to freak when they saw him! He loves Halloween. He and Brian carved their Jack-o-laterns and put them on the porch to scare the trick or treaters.

We went trick or treating to the grandparents houses and a couple of the neighbors too. It was a perfect night for it too. Karson's favorite thing about Halloween......definately the candy!

Kristin just had her 29th (ha ha!!) Birthday on October 27th. Brian spoiled me and took care of Karson and Brooklyn while I went and got a pedicure and a manicure. For those of you that have never had a pedicure, you've got to try it. It is amazing!

Karson loves to sing Happy Birthday!! He always gets to help blow out the candles too.

Scarecrow Festival-10/13/2007

October 13, 2007,

We attended the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point! Savanna and Bailee joined us too. Karson's favorite thing was getting his face painted like Batman.

Karson and his dad got to make and decorate a rocket that they launched way up in the sky with the air rocket launchers. Karson and Bailee got to play lots of games and received prizes for doing so good. (ie: the teeth)

Brian and Karson also got to ride on the spider speedway, where Brian had to pedal the go cart for two laps. Brian didn't realize it was going to require exercise :)

Brooklyn slept through the whole thing and all in all we had a great time!!!!
